Library
The Camaldolese are rooted in the Benedictines, and for them, too, books are of great importance. The function of a librarian is one of the most important in the monastery. And indeed, the book collection is perfectly cataloged, the floor shines, and you won’t find dust on the books!
Of course, in the monastery’s library you would not find detective stories or romances. However, the theological section is really impressive. Interestingly, there are also many books on technology. What we see is a small library for everyday use. The most valuable items, gathered over hundreds of years, have now been placed in the custody of the Jagiellonian Library.
