Chapter house – stalls

A unique element of the Chapter House decoration are the magnificent stalls running along three walls around the altar. The richly inlaid wooden seats for the brothers, impress with their finesse and craftsmanship. On the backrests, you can see not only refined decorative and floral motifs, but also, for example, both monastic crests (those of the Camaldolese monks and the Monte Corona congregation) or the drawing of the Tablets of Testimony.

Incorporated into the sequence of stalls are the Stations of the Cross, which correspond to the paintings on the walls above.
