Crypt

This is where the Camaldolese bury their dead. Out of respect, we will not enter the crypt. However, it is worth mentioning that the Camaldolese do not use coffins. The dead, dressed in the habit, are placed on a simple board and slid into a niche in the crypt and walled up.
